I am looking for a 'hands-on' position in marketing and event management that will allow me to make the most of my

My responsibilities in my past role as Events Manager have included:

Ø Responsible for planning and organisation of events, including logistics, venue sourcing, developing invitations and

collateral, targeting relevant delegates and managing staff attendance. Events included; trade shows, product launches,

kick-off’s, sales meetings, drinks receptions, awards/gala dinners, conferences and seminars - numbering in excess of 50

per annum. These events were successful for lead generation, networking opportunities, customer relationship building

and industry awareness.

Ø Management of exhibitions, from brief through to appointment of agencies to design and build of stands. Also

responsible for promoting attendance at such shows and to help raise awareness for the company at such events

Ø Responsible for organising corporate hospitality for customers and senior level management, this included sports

such as rugby (sponsorship of the Barbarians Rugby Tour – The Staffware Challenge), cricket, football, motor racing and

golf days. These activities were an opportunity for networking and closing business.

Ø Responsible for Central & Eastern Europe event management, organising logistics, venue sourcing, promotion,

speakers, translators and travelled to attend and manage the events such as; Telemanagement World in Nice, France, a

Technical Briefing in Prague, Czech Republic and a BPM conference in Bratislava, Slovakia. Such events raised our

awareness in previously unexplored markets and countries for new business.



My responsibilities in my past role as Industry Marketing Manager have included:

Ø Development and management of the UK User Group which included public relations, organising User Group forums

and social events (as a member of the Steering Committee) and updating the User Group website. This group offered

valued customers a forum to learn about our new products and technologies in advance of their release and facilitated user

comment and feedback on features they would find useful in the product, and a chance to meet with industry peers and

network, which was an ideal relationship building exercise.

Ø Write direct mail literature for lead generation and generic awareness campaigns, organise and co-ordinate direct

mail programs, incorporating telemarketing and emarketing

Ø As Marketing and Events Manager for the Irish operation headquartered in Dublin I worked on events, PR, advertising

and customer management to increase revenue and create awareness in the Irish market

Ø Management of website. Responsible for proof checking content, implementing updates and project management of

any changes on User Group section and events pages. Also responsible for Intranet content and updates

Ø Working closely with sales team and senior management to develop marketing programs to vertical markets, writing

reports, campaign management on Salesforce.com and maintenance of budgets

Ø Organise production of advertorials, advertising and placement of them in industry publications

Ø Liaising with business partners to develop, plan and implement incentive programs for sales team
