Operations Manager
Congress Knowledge & Experience of running a Congress Team
£38 - 40K + Bens
Established over 30 years ago, our client specialises in
providing high quality conferences, incentive travel programmes and
event management services to a broad customer base, including high
profile Pharmaceutical, Financial, Legal and I.T. Clients.
This
is a rare opportunity to join this global Company in their new modern
offices based on the outskirts of Slough.
The
main scope of the Operations Manager role is to manage, support
and develop a team of people to the highest standard in file preparation
and event management. It is a fast paced, challenging and rewarding role
and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and
develop along with the business.
Main
Responsibilities include:

Inspiring, motivating and developing team members
-
Quality and accuracy of team’s output in line with company processes
-
Managing the performance of direct reports in line with the
Company’s performance management process
-
Managing team resource and day to day delivery
-
Financial management of events at a project team level
-
Maximising revenue generation from allocated/targeted accounts,
ensuring all targets are achieved by your team
-
Understanding client business structure, products, policies and key
personnel
-
Assisting our Client Services Department with information required
for client presentations within allocated accounts
-
Ensuring team adheres to client SLA’s
-
Attendance at key operational client planning and debrief meetings
-
Onsite event attendance for the purpose of training and development
of team members
-
Understanding and delivery of ABPI and Pharma Guidelines
Attributes & Skills:

People management skills
-
Significant event management experience within an agency
environment.

A
proven track record of managing events of all sizes

UK and overseas venue knowledge
-
Calm and well organised with the ability to balance the
responsibility of managing a team whilst ensuring the highest
standard of work

Strategic thinker and planner and focused on achieving results

A
focus on accuracy, consistency and dedicated to customer service

A

Budget and file management experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Previous experience of working with pharma clients would be an
advantage
