We are one of the country’s leading event management companies with a wide client portfolio but specialising in the organisation of central government and public sector events. We organise a wide range of events from conferences to awards ceremonies and consultation meetings to AGMs.

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced AV Technical Production Manager to join our busy Production and Logistics Team.

We are looking for an experienced individual with excellent organisational and time management skills, proven within the fields of AV management and event production. You will also need good interpersonal skills to help organise and manage the work of other the team members.

You will be required to help manage the technical and AV aspects of events from initial brief through to final delivery, dealing closely with our internal Event Project Managers and clients to ensure their requirements are met to the highest quality standards. You will need to have a wide understanding of all the elements needed to deliver an event including AV, PA, projection and lighting. You will also need to have well developed and proven skills in managing freelance and sub contractors.

You will be directly involved in or, will deliver with support from other team members: 

  • Client contact and liaison

  • Technical specification for events

  • Ordering and booking cross hire equipment from external suppliers

  • Booking out internal AV stock and equipment

  • Servicing and maintaining internal AV stock and equipment

  • On site AV management

  • On site AV installation and operation

  • Site visits and site meetings

  • Organising and booking freelance technical staff

  • Transport management

  • Ordering and booking sub contractor services

  • Mangaing the resources and workflow of the company’s Logistics staff

  • H & S and Risk Assessment

  • Slide and presentation production

  • Stage and set design

  • Room layouts and plans

  • Liaison with interactive event technology suppliers

  • Preparing tender proposals and pitches

  • Budget preparation and job costing

 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced person with a proven track record in providing and operating AV services in a live event environment.  However, it is not a traditional ‘9–5’ job and you must be flexible and a strong team player. You will also need stamina!  Our events are held at locations across the UK and the ability to travel and stay overnight on occasions, is prerequisite.  A full, clean UK driving license is essential. 

The positions carry an excellent package, including salary (between £25 and £29K depending on experience), company car allowance, life and healthcare insurance, bonus, and contributory pension scheme. The posts will be based from our main offices in Preston.
