Sales & Operations Executive
£20 - 25,000 depending upon experience
Job Purpose:
Primary sales
job, secondary operation job in the Groups and Incentives Market
Key Result Areas:
-
Source and profile
new Group Incentive travel related business leads, to identify
potential sales in target areas
-
Field based
pro-active sales activities to gain new accounts to agreed targets
-
Produce regular
reports on sales activities , and maintain records of all clients
and potential clients, visited
-
Manage specified
accounts, including regular face-to-face contact ensuring they are
receiving a satisfactory service and increasing their sales turnover
with the company

Provide assistance
with operation and co-ordination of large tours, and develop
relationship with tour management in order to close sale on repeat
business

Plan & cost
incentive trips/conferences, producing proposals to meet organisers
specifications

Negotiate
competitive rates with suppliers and land operators to ensure
overall product pricing is competitive as well as achieving
pre-agreed profit margins for Client
-
Escort tours
as/when required to co-ordinate between suppliers and organisers,
personally resolving any problems as they arise to ensure customer
satisfaction and potential repeat business

Produce tour
accounts ensuring prompt settlement to maximise profitability

Work as a team
member, contributing to overall effectiveness of team
Personnel
Specification:
-
Bilingual - fluency
in Japanese (preferred) and English essential to deal with customers
and suppliers

Tour
operations/product knowledge
-
Proven Sales
experiences on travel industry

In depth knowledge
of Incentives/Conference market
-
Computer literacy -
Excel, Word, Powerpoint, the Internet
-
Flights reservation system, Sabre etc
