Generating the funds
that support our lifesaving service - you'll have an integral part
to play in this. Driving forward growth in this key strategic area,
you'll identify and deliver new fundraising opportunities as well as
enhancing relationships with existing supporters and donors.
Working closely with
these voluntary groups, you’ll get to know each individual’s
particular strengths and talents - then provide the training,
development, motivation and ideas they need to achieve their
potential. It’s about being able to inspire. And your focus won’t
stop with those already fundraising - recruiting new volunteers will
also be part of your brief. We’ll also look to you to publicise
events, raise the RNLI’s profile with the local media and get
involved with appeals.
Exceptional
interpersonal skills are a must, along with the ability to get on
well with people from all ages and backgrounds. As part of a
multi-disciplinary team, you’ll need to be highly motivated with
first-rate organisational skills. We'll look to your real passion
for fundraising and ability to use your interpersonal skills to
inspire our dedicated volunteers. You'll also have a significant
involvement in the development of third party fundraising
initiatives.
With a proven
fundraising background and excellent communications skills, you'll
be able to work effectively on both strategic and operational
levels. This will be matched with a highly motivated, organised
approach and an understanding of event management. Flexibility is
also required because you’ll need to work some evenings and
weekends.
